With a unique blend of Japanese illustration and hip-hop fashion, Santa Inoue is the author of manga such as Tokyo Tribes, and The Neighbor No. Thirteen. Working in manga since 1989, Saru is a retrospective of Inoue’s career as an artist. This collection of art, manga, and new comics also chronicles his time living in the United States.

Currently living in LA, Inoue has a stylish supercharged energy to his art, featured here in color and black and white. Also included is a Japanese language interview between Inoue and his cousin, manga author Taiyo Matsumoto (No. 5, Tekkon Kinkreet).
