Yoshiharu Tsuge "Screw Style" revised edition

Yoshiharu Tsuge’s classic indie manga Screw Style/Nejishiki was published in Garo* in 1968. Dream-like and abstract, it broke the rules of what manga could be. This edition preserves the magazine size format of the manga as it originally ran in Garo. Also includes the uncensored version of the original story and up-to-date chronology.

Tsuge was honored  at The Japan Cartoonists Association Award in 2017 and the Angouleme International Comics Festival in France in 2020.

Includes 23 stories (published from 1965 to 70) and 3 essays

* Garo was a Japanese monthly manga anthology magazine founded by Katsuichi Nagai and published by Seirindo from 1964 to 2002. The magazine was the foundation for the emergence and development of alternative and avant-garde manga. For its long run, Garo was the primary showcase for "art" manga in Japan.
