Hiroshi Katagiri

Hiroshi Katagiri (born 1972-, Tokyo, Japan) moved to the U.S. at the age of 18 after graduating from high school, where he worked freelance creating characters for film and television. In 1998, he won an Emmy Award for his makeup work on the TV series The X-Files. In 1999, he became the leading artist at Stan Winston Studios, one of the world's leading workshops.

Katagiri has worked on numerous films including "A.I.," "Jurassic Park 3," "The Time Machine," and "Space Wars," and continues to work freelance on a variety of creations. His major films include "Captain Marvel," "Pacific Rim," "Man of Steel," "Alien vs. Predator: Requiem," "Wolverine X-Men Zero, "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Fountain of Youth" and "Spider-Man 4 (censored)". He has worked on films by such renowned directors as Steven Spielberg, Guillermo del Toro, and Sam Raimi and has made significant contributions to the character creation for their films.
