Hiroshi Tagawa (born in Miyazaki Prefecture in 1959-), graduated from Midorigaoka Highsschoool, attached to Oita Prefectural College of Arts and Culture, and entered the Nagoya University of Arts, Department of Painting (Western painting).

From 1988 to 1993, He won a “grand prize” as well as an “honorable mentions award” for the Chunichi Exhibition (Nagoya City Museum). 1995, Tagawa encountered the world of figure sculptures when he was exposed to Hiroki Hayashi’s works and painted his first realistic female figure n 1996. in 2011, he started his career as a full-fledged figure painter. Since then, he has held many solo exhibitions and become a female professional figure painter with many fans in Japan and worldwide.
