Michiru Imai (Born in Hyogo prefecture) attended an art school pursuing a career in music when she was in junior high school. After majoring in oil painting at a junior college of fine arts, she became strongly interested in pursuing a career in the arts.
Around 2010, when she was looking for a way to find a job that would allow her to work in the art field, she started to recognize a lot of media coverage of so-called "otaku culture”. As she researched otaku culture, she came across the job of a prototype sculptor. She thought it would be fun to make such cute and beautiful girl figures by herself, so she jumped into the world of prototyping around 2011.
It seems that this is the reason why her works in her early days of figure modeling are bishojo-type figures (deformed figures).
After that, she became accustomed to handling clay, and the speed at which she could finish her works increased, and when she could afford to do so, she returned to her original style (from her days as an oil painter), and it seems that she has finally been able to express herself.
In the summer of 2016, she was selected as a member of the 31st WSC of "Bake-Neko Yin-Yang-Shi" Tsukikage. Since the beginning, she has been presenting her own works at the Wonder Festival instead of mainly copyrighted works. She has also demonstrated her skill in coloring and created the coloring sample (deco-mas) for his work "Bunny Balmain" by himself.
