Noriyoshi Ohrai

Noriyoshi Ohrai(November 17, 1935 - October 27, 2015) left the oil painting department of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music in 1957 and started his career as an illustrator in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo in 1962. 1973 moved to Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture, where his wife's parents live (Kushima City, Miyazaki Prefecture). In 1980, his image drawings of "Star Wars" published in a science fiction magazine were highly acclaimed, and he created the international poster for the sequel, "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back," which won him many fans overseas as well. In the same year, he won the 11th Nebula Award in the art category. In film, he worked on "Future War 198X" and "Miracle Master: Seven Great Adventures" in 1982, as well as the "Godzilla" series from 1984 until "Godzilla Final Wars" in 2004. 2006 "Sinking of Japan" movie poster. Smith) for Sogen SF Bunko, and many other covers for Sakyo Komatsu and Ikko Shimizu. Many covers for Kazuyuki and others. He also created package illustrations for the "Ambition of Nobunaga," "Sangokushi," "Admiral's Decision" and other series of games for Koei (now Koei Tecmo Games).
