SHIGEKI HAYASHI

JAPANESE CERAMIST BORN IN TOKI, GIFU PREFECTURE, 1972

His hometown, Toki is the number one town for ceramics in Japan. After graduating university in Shizuoka, he learned ceramic art at Tajimi Technical High School before becoming a ceramics artist. He won bronze award at the 8th Mino International Ceramics Competition, winner of ‘Anybody can be Picasso’, winner of 57th Faenza Award in Italy. His works are displayed at the V&A Museum in United Kingdom.
